Is the battery really zero upfront cost?

Cable funds the battery, installation and maintenance. A refundable bond of about three months of your usual electricity cost applies and is returned at the end of your term.

Do I need solar panels?

No. Cable serves customers with and without an existing solar installation.

What about a huge week — functions, Christmas, a heatwave?

Your total bill still reflects how much electricity you use, but your unit rate stays flat. There are no demand charges, so a busy service does not trigger a second kind of charge.

How does Cable make money?

The battery charges when wholesale grid power is cheap and discharges when it is expensive. Cable keeps the trading margin and underwrites a lower, sustainable flat price for your venue.

What if the battery breaks?

That is Cable’s problem. Your venue keeps drawing power from the grid on the same flat price while Cable fixes or replaces the battery. Maintenance is at Cable’s cost.

We lease our premises — is that a problem?

No. Most venues lease. Cable prepares the landlord consent letter and handles that conversation with you — it’s usually a one-page approval, sorted before install day.

Why not just buy my own battery?

You can — commercial batteries start around $10k upfront, and the hardware, maintenance and trading risk sit with you. With Cable, the battery is funded, owned and managed by Cable, and you simply pay one lower flat rate. If it ever has a problem, that’s Cable’s cost, not yours.
